The Protest RNC Facebook page has 1,600 registered members, and its MySpace page has 1,100. The group’s Facebook discussion board features 60 topics, including stories about the St. Paul Police Department’s plainclothes operations to requests on the best way to get from Los Angeles to the convention. In one exchange, a member advised anyone planning to use spray paint at this year’s political conventions to avoid traditional symbols like the anarchist’s “A,” suggesting instead that they tag the number 350, a reference to some scientists’ calls to reduce the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to 350 parts per million.

If people graffiti-ing spraypainted in many places in both cities

poster wrote.
